March 2013 Board Meeting Notes

  • The March meeting of the Board was held March 19.
  • Financial Report: The budget is on target for most revenue and expense items but there were a few accounts over or under budget. However some of these were timing issues that are expected to be resolved by year end. These differences were primarily due to completing the capital repairs on the Clubhouse ahead of schedule. All of the repairs have been made to the Clubhouse.
A preliminary budget will be distributed at the April meeting and discussed at the May meeting. Committee chairs were preparing budget proposals for the Finance Committee.
  • New Pool Chairs: The Board approved the purchase of 30 new pool chairs/lounges for the outdoor pool.
  • ACCES: ACCES Committee is revising the ACCES regulations to include the new rules for retractable awnings and will be developing checklists for other complicated submissions for housing etc. Also distributed was a Sagamore Hills ordinance about keeping grass cut.
  • Landscaping Committee: The Landscape Committee presented its budget proposal for FY2014 and is planning to meet with each of the providers of landscape services to Greenwood in the near future.
  • Website Committee: The Website Committee presented its report and a request for funding for a proposal to migrate the website to WordPress. After much discussion, the committee was asked to submit a budget proposal for FY 2014 for its work to the Finance Committee.
  • Greenwood Newsletter: There was discussion about finding cost savings by cutting down the printing and distribution cost of the newsletter. A committee will be formed to discuss alternatives to every mailbox distribution.
  • Old Carriage Trail Bridges: The Bridges Committee reported on a positive meeting with the National Park service and the research and ideas from the CWRU students.
