Board Meeting notes – March 18, 2014

Finance Committee Report – The late month surge of semi-annual fee payments
were reported in the February statements and were slightly above the budgeted
amount. Overall expenses for the month were below budget except for routine
maintenance, emergencies, snowplowing and gas. The board approved the purchase
of a new drinking fountain to replace the original one that was installed when
the clubhouse was built.
Some additional maintenance was approved for the heating system for the pool
and the clubhouse. New partitions were installed in the locker and bath rooms
on the second floor and repairs were made to the floors and tile.

ACCES Committee reviewed and approved 12 applications for improvements. The
committee is working on revising the ACCES regulations to incorporate the rules
on retractable awnings and some other additional items needing approval. The
ACCES committee is seeking 2 or 3 new residents to serve on the ACCES Committee.
They are looking for a volunteer representing the single family homes and
condominiums. Interested persons should contact the office.

Garden Committee will hold a kick-off meeting of all gardeners on April 14 at
7:00 PM in the Community Room. The rates for the plot rental will remain the
same as last year. New Gardeners may apply for a plot after March 30.

Landscape Committee reported that the turnout for the seminar on Organic Lawn
care had 100 persons in attendance. The seminar was co-sponsored by the
Nordonia Hills Garden club. Planning is in process for treating the grassy area
around the outdoor with organic methods.

Recreation Committee – is planning some additional activities – “Spring Break
in the Pool”, a Chili cook-off, the Trout Derby and Cinco de Mayo party.

Website Committee – work continues on the migration of the website to WordPress
and the addition of many new features for residents. Condominium association
representatives will be meeting on April 2 to discuss how they access the site
for posting information of interest to their condo associations.
