BOARD MEETING NOTES MAY 2013

  • The monthly Board of Trustees meeting was held at the Clubhouse on May 21,2013.
  • Financial Report:The Treasurer reported the financial report results for April. The Board approved the FY 2013-2014 budget as proposed in April. The Board also approved the painting of the Indoor pool.
  • ACCES:The ACCES committee reported positive results in re: a property that had fallen into some disrepair and what further action it intends to take about it. ACCES continues to work on revising some its procedures and has also decided not to approve rain barrels. ACCES continued to review application for changes to properties, and violations.
  • Garden Committee:The Garden Committee reported on the expansion of the Garden noting that the farmer who sells sweet corn at the stand on Route 82 assisted the committee in the removal of stumps from the space and plowing for the new garden beds. Volunteers took turns using a rented rototiller to till the gardens and the committee will be erecting a fence to keep out animals.
  • Landscape CommitteeThe Landscape Committee received a donation of ornamental grasses from a resident which will be planted in Juniper Hill where First Energy cleared fields under the power lines. The committee also approved some contracts with local companies for mulching, pruning, and tree removal.
  • Board of Trustees ElectionThe Nominating Committee presented a ballot for the Board members who are running for positions on the Board of Trustees starting July 1, 2013. Only one condo association had not submitted a name in time for the ballot to be sent out to resident owners.
  • Recreation CommitteeThe Recreation Committee reported that the Annual Trout Derby was a big success with over 150 people fishing for the fish that had been stocked in Marshall Lake. The Cinco de Mayo party late that evening was also a huge success. The latest indoor pool party “Jungle Book” drew many from previous pool events and several new persons.
