The Township of Sagamore Hills and the North Hills Water District asked that Greenwood share the following notice:
Canyon View Road Water Main Replacement
March 10, 2020
To the Residents of Canyon View Road and Greenwood Village:
Starting on or about March 23rd, the NHWD will begin replacement of the water main on Canyon View Road. The water main replacement will be followed by a Summit County pavement project starting on or about June 1st. Terrace Construction Company, Inc. is doing this work as part of the on-going improvements of the infrastructure for the NHWD and the Township of Sagamore Hills. The cost of construction for this work is $737,256.95.
The water main work will involve replacing the existing 8” water main, fire hydrants and the water service connections from the new main to the valve box in your tree lawn. All associated work for the project is scheduled to be substantially completed on or around June 30th, 2020. At that point the Summit County pavement project will be underway.
Please drive slowly during the construction period. You will have access to your drive during the water main replacement work. There may be times when you have to wait for construction equipment to move, so please be patient.
During the work, there will be short periods of time when the water will be turned off while the tie-ins to the existing main and water service connection taps are being done. We will limit these downtimes to as short a period as possible, typically less than 4 hours during the workday. You will be notified at least 24 hours prior these water service interruptions occur.
We ask that you help us at the end of the work period by watering any areas on your lawns that are seeded. This will ensure that the grass will grow in properly and make the entire street look as good as or better than it did prior to the work.
Thank you for your cooperation during this work. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please contact the Project Engineer, Bryan Nero at (440)-317-7052 or via email at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Mike Henry, PE
North Hills Water District Engineer
