12/12/2025 – Residents have been calling the GVCA office about Windstream/Kinetic employees asking to enter their homes to upgrade their phone lines. Unfortunately, Windstream has not contacted GVCA or provided any information about this. However, we did locate this Windstream/Kinetic FAQ web page that answers a lot of questions and provides a phone number to schedule your upgrade. What is unclear is, since every home on Greenwood is currently wired with copper for landline phones, will all homes need to be upgraded to fiber? Or only homes that currently have or want Windstream/Kinetic service?
6/10/2025 – You may have noticed all the OUPS flags around Greenwood. Windstream is busy installing new optical fiber cables in Greenwood to provide faster connections, which they plan to offer to residents this fall. As a utility, they have a easement to maintain and install their infrastructure on properties within Greenwood Village. Most of the work appears to be on the streets with the single family homes. They are using directional boring equipment to minimize the need for trenching to install the new lines. They should be restoring the areas after they are done. If you have a concern about the installation, please contact Windstream/Kinetic at 800-347-1991. If they have damaged your property, ask for the Care Department and let them know what was damaged.
