Final Update – The new pool heater pump is installed and the pool is back up to temperature. The outdoor pool will be staying open in September for as long as the weather forecast looks favorable. The date we are switching to the indoor pool will be posted here once a decision is made. Update 2 – 9/5/24 The pool is at 83 degrees, enjoy the pool. The hot water will be off in the building today while the new pool heater pump is installed.

Original Post- Be Advised: Tuesday night, September 3, 2024, the air temperature will drop to 50° by the time the pool opens Wednesday morning at 6:30 am. Unfortunately, the pool heater pump has failed and the parts to install the new pump don’t arrive until tomorrow, Wednesday, September 4. As a result, the pool will cooler than normal temperature by water aerobics class time Wednesday morning. How cool is hard to predict, but just a few degrees can feel cold, especially as the air will only be 64° by class time. We will be adding hot water from the building to the pool, but that will not be enough to compensate for the 35° temperature difference between the air and the water. We are still having the water aerobics class, it should be invigorating.
