Dear Greenwood Residents,

I would like to thank all residents who shared their ideas, concerns and dreams for the future of Greenwood Village.  Our Envision Greenwood 20/20 meeting on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, drew lots of active emails, calls and participants. Thank you.

Over the next several months I will share with you results of our community survey, and the numerous suggestions and ideas undertaken around Greenwood on behalf of the board and staff.

We heard you.  We have already begun working on better lighting regarding the path from the parking lot up to our Clubhouse Community Room.  The wall on route 82 is owned by the state of Ohio, but we realize it is our welcoming gate into Greenwood. Ideas are already being generated, and a group discussion on how to work cooperatively between government officials and Greenwood is moving forward. You should continue to see more color and nature growth in our plantings around Greenwood. And yes, please join us in keeping our community clean, healthy and safe, don’t litter and please pick up after your dog!

There were over 70 slides in the presentation, plus over a 100 photos shown that night.
Here are a few select slides from the presentation showing a bit of Greenwood’s History, maps of the GVCA properties, trails, public and private roads, and the different condominium properties.
Also included are two charts of the cost benefit of GVCA compared to other nearby *P.U.D. communities and recreation centers.  (*Greenwood was the first Planned Unit Development in Ohio.)

Good news, we had a healthy response to our survey passed out at Envision Greenwood 20/20 event on Wednesday, February 15th, and the results show our staff is doing a very good job.  On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest and best response, we received a highly respectable 4.5 for Overall Quality of Services at Our Pool, a 4.1 for Overall Quality of Our Activities, and a 4.0 for Overall Quality of Our Services. Great work to all our dedicated employees.

Another clear indicator from our Survey is Greenwood Residents greatly appreciate our Parks, natural setting and the quality of life here, and 9 out of 10 would recommend their friends move to Greenwood.  As a continued update, the National Park Service (NPS) is moving forward on the upgrades of the Carriage Trail & bridges, and the GVCA Board is working closely with the NPS during this process.  If the weather continues to cooperate, you may notice some dead trees being removed, and trails widened to meet project requirements.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected] or 330-655-5566 should you have questions or suggestions regarding our community.

Best Regards,

Scott Gale,

GVCA President
